FREE outreach and virtual waste site visits launched for schools & community groups
Amey and Cambridgeshire County Council celebrated Recycle Week with the launch of outreach and virtual visits of the Waterbeach Waste Management Park. These are open to Cambridgeshire schools and community groups.
Designed with Covid-19 safety measures in place, these engaging workshops can be delivered at your premises or remotely. Workshops show what happens to local household waste and recycling, including a ‘behind the scenes’ virtual tour of the site. Each session is tailored to the audience, with advice on what you can do to reduce your waste, reuse and recycle more, in order to minimise waste ending up in landfill.
The school visits are ideal for key stage two children and above, with curriculum-based lessons delivered by qualified and DBS-checked teaching staff.
A range of FREE downloadable materials have also been produced to help schools and community groups, and activities can be incorporated into outreach sessions and online lessons.
